I also made an apron for my mom, who desperately needed a cute apron (sorry, Mom, I only speak the truth!). I used the Emmeline apron pattern and some Garden Party fabric.
Though it was much more work than a simple apron, I really like how it turned out. I especially love the fabric on this side. I've already dreamed up a summer dress I'd like to make with this gorgeous Climbing Vines fabric.
Last, but not least, I made some pajamas for my nephews. How cute is that alien flannel? The pants were easy to whip up. I appliqued some of the fabric onto shirts I bought from Target.
As soon as Ryan opened these, he immediately demanded to take off his Christmas outfit and put these on. I can't tell you how satisfying that felt. It was reported to me that my other nephew, Nathan, also wanted to wear his pjs right away. Success!

Cute. Beautiful fabrics and that Emmeline apron pattern is a favourite of mine.
I've been thinking about making Emmeline for quite some time now...yours turned out great!
Everything looks beautiful, and it's so rewarding when someone loves what you made!
Thanks for your nice comment on my blog. You've just reminded me to dig out the walking foot that I know is in my apartment hiding somewhere!
My kids loved the gifts! :) The pj's have already been washed SEVERAL times due to lots of wear, and lots of not wanting to take off! :)
They are the best pressies ever! I particularly love those jim jams - you don't make them in adult sizes, do ya? ;-P
I'M SURE YOUR RECIPIENTS LOVE THEIR GIFTS. AND THERE IS SO MUCH LOVE BEHIND THOSE BEAUTIFUL HAND SEWN ITEMS YOU GIVE AWAY. THEY ARE BOTH VERY NICE AND WELL DONE.
You will think that I'm so stupid but I like to have flour on my pants when I make cakes!!! It's like if I'm working for real...like a cook! But maybe tomato sauce is not cool on a white blouse...then an apron is wonderful ;)
Your apron is so pretty...more like a dress!
